Braindead Ape´s team is expanding (we are seven now) as we start designing the web, planning the delelopment blog, making a flash minigame for the webpage, all the business and game´s documents and of course working on Show me Your Bum!

A lot of work, but we are all enthusiastic about the project. I couldn´t have hoped for a better team and even if we are in different countries we manage to keep a very good workflow and weekly meetings thanks to Skype.

Got to go! Lots of work still to be done!

More sketches. I will be posting less stuff from now on. I need to work on the game´s documents, production stages, budget,....

The company is starting to become a clear thing in my mind now and I´m really excited about it all. I have to give a big thanks to David Darnes from Ubisoft Barcelona for the course on videogame direction and production. It has helped so much at organizing and creating a workflow for the project I can´t imagine how it could have happened without what I learned there.

By the way, thanks to all the drawing teachers I´ve had in my life. Don´t say I´m an ungrateful douche!!

Ilustrations for the movie "Zoo Station"´s project with script by Antonio Herrera and the colaboration of Telesistema Canarias. Placed in Berlin and featuring a homeless comic drawer in love, a zoo caretaker who collects dead bird´s photographs, a weird guitar player and a misterious woman.... Oh, and a white parrot!

Zaragoza has a new stomach to feed

So, finally back on track. I´m working as a teacher now, Photoshop and so classes and waiting for the complete master courses on "Drawing, Illustration and Comic", and "Flash videogames and advergaming" to appeal to students out there in Zaragoza so I can learn and teach at the same time! Awesome job.

Already got used to the smaller size of the city (only 20 min. to work instead of the dreaded 1h and a half to get to Animagic in Madrid) and the not-so-small amount of great free courses and round tables about videogames and the industry it can offer. Neat.

My girlfriend Cristina pushes me forward (in the good sense, hehe) too and my pet hedgehog Wasabi keeps me aware of the need to get a handsomely paid job so I can pay premium cat food to feed him.

Not complaining at all.

Lots been happening in the last years. I went back to Spain after almost four fantastic years in Edinburgh. I got a job in one of the best animation studios in Spain, participated in two exciting projects with them (two Gatorade's ads and a movie by Fernando Trueba and Mariscal!) Decided to pursue my true passion with my videogame project and now I live in Barcelona and just finished a graphic adventure for the Down Syndrome Association in Madrid.
Big round of applause please.
I have done so many things in just two years, but instead of being exhausted and looking forward to some relax, I'm more active than ever. Internet digital painting webs, Flash projects, online communities, Gnommon tutorials,.... I don't seem to get enough.
I love it here!

Ok, that's started.That wasn't so difficult now was it?

Well, my idea with this blog is to show my illustrations, designs, and sketches to anyone who might be interested. That being artists, curious people, colleages, my mom and potential clients.

If you see something you like, feel free to praise and if you want to criticize, there's lots and lots of other lame artist's blogs to do so. ;-)
Now seriously, critisize all that you want and if you can help me to improve i'm always looking for good advice, I have found it's about the only way to learn.

I'm currently selling logos, business cards and doing some other corporative image jobs. You will find some here.I have also comic projects, children's books illustrations, a novel and some other stuff running.Also (there's nothing i don't have fun doing) just today I finished a wedding invitation for some friends, so here is to you!

I am looking forward to be employed in the graphic novel (although I still call them comics, sorry guys), concept-art business (for videogames, animation movies, tv,...) and character design, but as I said I just want to keep my pencil ocuppied, so no work offer will be left unconsidered.

Nothing else, just have a look at my work and feel free to tell me what you think about it!
